AIR.CAT welcomes international applicants of diverse arts and design backgrounds , age 18 and older. The 2019 program will be accepting up to six residents.

Application guidlines

  • CV or Resume in PDF in the following format: name, date of birth, city of residence, educational history, solo exhibitions, group exhibitions, and press bibliography.

  • Letter of Intent

    Describe your artistic practice and why an AIR.CAT residency would specifically benefit your work.

  • Samples of Art Work

    Submit seven examples of current artwork including painting, sculpture, installation, site-specific, architecture, digital media, video, photography, or drawing. Use the digital format of 72 dpi, maximum file size 1MB. File names must follow this format: 01_LastName.jpeg

    Video samples must be limited to three minute excerpts.
    Include a PDF describing each corresponding jpeg or video listing the number, title, year, medium, dimensions, and a short description if applicable.

  • Professional References

    Name, title and email addresses of three professional references who may be contacted.

  • Application Fee

Significant others

Family members and significant others should be scheduled to join participants outside of the program. Field trips will not include third parties.
